Get to Know me!

I always love starting off by introducing myself. I am Kendal Edward, a 25-year-old senior and family photographer, and I am located in North Charlotte. I have been photographing since I was 14. I started by shooting cheerleading competitions of mine and my sisters through high school, and then it quickly led to all the cheer girls wanting portraits. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography from UNC Charlotte. I am currently a full (ish) time photographer. Besides running my own business, I also work with Victoria Moon Photography and MK Interior Design, helping out with their social media and content.

It is crazy to think that my Papa was also a photographer when he was younger. He loves to give me all his film cameras and equipment that he finds in the basement. While my mom was a kid, he had a dark room in the basement of his house where he would process and print photos. So he always knew someone in our family was meant to be a photographer!

Here are a few fun facts to get to know me a little more!

• I am a sports lover. I love football (go bills) and will pretty much watch any sport

• Buffalo is a second home to me! I have a ton of family up there, I pretty much call myself a Northerner, even though I primarily grew up in

  Charlotte lol

• I love the color yellow (always feel like no one’s favorite color is yellow!)

• I am an animal lover! At my parents’ house, we have 3 dogs and a cat. They are all my babies

• I started getting into reading more, which is new for me… but I love it!

• I love going to work out, take walks, and going to pilates

• The 3 biggest things people are always shocked to know about me are I don’t like coffee, ice cream, or naps.. I know, trust me, I get made fun of for it countless times lol.

• Some of my favorite places I have traveled have been Aruba and Arches National Park
