The Carnes Family Baseball Field Photoshoot

Jess came up with such a fun and unique idea for her family photo shoot—a baseball field! Right now, both of the Carnes kids play baseball and softball, and Jess mentioned that they feel like they’re always at a field as a family—whether it’s for practice, games, or just hanging out. She thought it would be the perfect way to capture this season of their lives, and I couldn’t agree more. I absolutely loved this idea!

Their outfits were perfect for both the location and the season. It was fall, so they chose neutral tones and cozy layers that fit the autumn vibe beautifully—think sweaters, jackets, flannels, and boots. The colors and patterns coordinated perfectly, and I especially loved the baseball-inspired letterman jacket that added such a fun, personal touch to their look!

To make the session even more special, they brought along some great props that tied everything together. Of course, they had a bat and a baseball, but one of my favorite moments was when they pulled out some bubblegum for a playful shot—it’s so good, you have to see it! The baseball even had their names written on it, adding a sweet, sentimental detail that made the session uniquely theirs!

It may have taken 20 times to get the shot, but it came out awesome!
